Climate Change, the Environment, & Sustainability

Environmental degradation is the biggest problem of our time. I plan to bring my grassroots experience into the Flagstaff City Council to fight for climate justice. I will continue to work with Flagstaff climate organizations as well as the City of Flagstaff Sustainability Office to ensure a sustainable and equitable future for all living beings on earth.

The Housing Crisis

Flagstaff is home to a large unhoused community. The housing situation in Flagstaff is not affordable, accessible, or equitable. I plan to work with the Housing Committee to figure out how to assist people struggling to find housing in Flagstaff.

Transportation

Transportation is an important aspect of Flagstaff. As a tourist town, Flagstaff deals with traffic congestion on a daily basis. I plan to review current and future plans for traffic control, as well as promote alternative transportation practices such as walking, biking, and public transport. Along with this, ensuring our streets are safe for those walking and biking is a top priority of mine.

Gender Justice & Reproductive Rights

Gender justice and reproductive rights are highly debated topics in the current political climate. I am pro-choice and believe people should have the autonomy and agency to make decisions about their bodies and health. Racial Justice & Policing

I support the Black Lives Matter and the Defund the Police movements. Black Lives Matter aims to highlight the disproportionate harm, discrimination, and death racially minoritized people endure. This includes the overcriminalization and murder of Black people by police agencies. Defund the Police calls for redistribution of funding from law enforcement to social services in the hopes that alternative methods to police intervention will limit the number of Black people who are forced into the criminal justice system. Education

Education should be accessible for all who desire it. As stated in the U.S. Constitution, higher education should be as nearly free as possible. I support the Arizona initiative As Nearly Free As Possible, which is focused on making public universities more accessible and affordable for all.
